Foredling av råolje fra makrell restråstoff til høy-kvalitetsprodukt for humant konsum – Faglig sluttrapport

Abstract

Prosjektet har hatt som hovedmål å utvikle en raffineringsprosess for råolje fra makrell restråstoff til høy-kvalitetsprodukt til humant konsum. Studerte prosesstrinn omfatter bleking, vinterisering og deodorisering samt stabilisering av oljen. Det er foretatt en vellykket oppskalering fra lab til pilotskala raffinering. Gjennom prosjektet har det lykkes å produsere en smaksnøytral høykvalitetsolje for humant konsum basert på råolje fra makrell restråstoff.

The main goal of this project was to develop a process for refining of crude oil from mackerel residues to a high quality product for human consumption. Studied processing steps include bleaching, winterization and deodorization including stabilization of the oil. Successful upscaling from lab to pilot scale refining has been made. Through the project, we have succeeded in producing a food grade and taste neutral high-quality oil based on crude oil produced from mackerel residues.
